Kanye West and Jay Z Are The Throne

Back in January when Kanye West announced that he and Jay Z would be collaborating on a full length LP, fans took note. Even the title of the album Watch the Throne suggests royalty and an epic nature. The first single H.A.M. was brazen and loud, tuned to the highest decibel with a skittering beat, operatic vocals and lyrics about the Hard Ass Mother F*ckers behind the record. In an interview Jay Z mentioned that people couldn’t have H.A.M. blaring out of the speakers in their house all day so the two settled on a more subtle, understated tone. So far Watch the Throne has been a raging success, breaking Coldplay’s album sales records and accomplishing what these two hip hop icons set to do, which was protect the hip hop throne.
